Wax Arts
Wax Arts is where you can explore my ever expanding life with beeswax and photography (from the oldest school of view camera and darkroom to the new school of digital ink jet printing) and painting. Each day brings new ideas, favorite colors and experiments with layers and textures. I discovered this amazing blend of photography and encaustic painting in graduate school while experimenting in my studio. Since then, I’ve been making encaustic photographs for fine art exhibitions and art fairs.

Photography
I am a photographer, a painter with light. Photography is still my passion above and beyond all. I dream and see in photographs and am constantly thinking of how to capture and hold precious moments and beautiful subjects. This section shares my broad life in photography the vast tools I use to capture images and the many areas I explore with my lens and printing.
I teach darkroom photography at The Philadelphia Art Institute, where we shoot Holgas, 35mm, medium format and view camera, and develop our own negatives and print in the darkroom on fiber paper. I believe developing an image in a tray of liquid and watching the whites turn to blacks and objects emerge from nothing is still one of the most beautiful experiences. I was a professional printer for five years, so my art happens in the darkroom, textures happen, cracks lines and drawings happen in my relationship to paper and light and developer…. every part of a photograph to me is the story that an image needs to tell
I am both a commercial photographer (I shoot portraits and weddings and Mitzvahs), and a fine art photographer. A number of galleries represent my fine art photographs, including GalerieBMG. In addition to photography, I also love art fairs and workshops!!!

Book Arts
Book Arts is a place to view and experience the art of the book. I have kept journals since I was a teenager, filling pages and pages with my most precious secrets and life stories. When I realized drawings and photographs can be used to bring stories to life, I started Bliss Books. Bliss Books is a way for me to help others elaborate the intimate details of their stories. The Book Arts section is devoted to sharing our newest ideas and creations from Bliss Books.
The Studio is a place to work, a place to grow and feel content and make art. My studio is an old factory building located in my backyard, we have called the studio Waxhouse, the Garage, the Factory and many other names. It was used in the 50′s to make a crystal orange drink called Crystal Orange and then it was used as a gun and model train shop. Now it houses my husband’s custom motorcycle shop and Waxworksphoto, Organics, BlissBooks and my personal art studio. I have worked alongside my husband in many warehouse spaces over the 16 years, and this building is home. My studio is an open door to all people—artists and students and models. I teach workshops at the studio and I have employees and a plethera of assistants who want to learn for themselves the art of mixed media photography.
